Second Annual Ghosts on the Coast Returns to Marina Park for ‘Spooktacular’ Halloween Fun
September 18, 2019 By Chris B.
Ghosts on the Coast, a free Halloween event for the whole family, celebrates in the Marina Park at Grande Dunes on Saturday, October 26, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, rain or shine. The celebration will feature something for all ages — from food trucks and live music to costume contests, street performers and carnival games. Easy access to the outdoor park and free parking right at the venue. The first 100 children will receive a free goodie bag.
One of the Southeast’s most popular bands, N'Tranze, will perform a wide variety of songs. To relax and picnic, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Delicious local fare, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase from food truck vendors such as 6 In A Nest, Benito’s and Trojan Cow.
Everyone is invited to deck out in their Halloween best and enter in costume contests - Child 0-5, Youth 6-13, Adult 14+ categories and a couples contest for adults.
While the event is free, Ghosts on the Coast will accept donations for Susan G. Komen South Carolina, which provides funding for breast health services, breast cancer education and outreach throughout South Carolina. LStar Ventures, the owners and development company for Grande Dunes, will match the total donated by participants — effectively doubling the final gift.
“We are delighted to bring back Ghosts on the Coast which, one year ago, introduced our beautiful Marina Park to the public,” says Margaret LaCalle, Division President – Coastal North, LStar Ventures. “Since its opening, we’ve hosted wonderful festivals enjoyed by Myrtle Beach neighbors, and we hope everyone will join us for another fantastic event, one that benefits a most worthwhile case.”
