Halloween - A Time for Candy and a Time to Avoid Dental Emergencies
July 9, 2019 By Chris B.
For Dr. Doug Disraeli, Halloween can be the busiest season due to cracked or missing teeth sometimes due to candy. His goal for his patients is to make it so they can enjoy scary Halloween parties without the fear of addressing any aspects of their dental health. Dr. Disraeli alleviates any anxiety about a missing tooth and explains the best options available in his office in Hillcrest, San Diego.
Dr. Disraeli said the ultimate choice is an implant. According to Dr. Disraeli, “When done by a skillful team, it is aesthetically beautiful, functional, and easy to forget it is in your mouth. The only deterrent is that the implant takes time to integrate into the patient’s bone.”
Dr. Disraeli also says the worst option would be doing nothing. “This may cause a few problems…remaining teeth moving around and perhaps collapsing the bite.”
Don’t let your dental health be the scariest outing you make on Halloween. There are many great solutions to any dental health issues you may be facing that are best addressed by your local, skilled neighborhood dentist.
Dr. Disraeli is a general and cosmetic dentist with a degree from the University of Southern California, one of the top dental schools in the world.
